The materials that create a Tempur-Pedic mattress are different than traditional mattresses. Tempur-Pedic manufactures mattresses with foam that allows the mattress to flex with and absorb movement from the user. Unfortunately, due to the materials of the mattress, it has a few restrictions on transporting.

  Slide your Tempur-Pedic mattress into a mattress bag that is the appropriate size for your mattress. The bag will help prevent odors, stains or moisture from damaging your mattress while you transport it.

  Tape or zip the mattress bag closed.

  Carry your Tempur-Pedic mattress by holding onto the sides or underneath the mattress. Do not use the mattress handles to carry the mattress. The handles are intended to position the mattress once it is in place -- they are not designed to carry it.

  Transport your Tempur-Pedic mattress by laying it flat. Do not fold your Tempur-Pedic mattress or stand it on its side.
