Bed bugs crawl up from spots in the walls and floor at night; with double-sided adhesive tape, you might be able to trap some before they reach you in bed, proving their existence.

     Remove the comforter or top sheet.

     Start at a top corner of the mattress and apply a strip of double-sided adhesive tape all the way around the body of the mattress below the point where the sheets reach. If the sheets extend to the bottom of the mattress, apply the tape just below on the box spring. You can also apply the tape to the sheets themselves right where the sheets fold under the mattress.

     Apply a strip of double-sided adhesive tape around the legs or posts of the bed frame.
