How to Build a Sectional Couch

Follow the link in Resources to the Home Reserve website, where you can build a custom sectional couch online and have it shipped to you for assembly.

Choose the arm and cushion style you want for the sectional. Home Reserve offers six different sectional-couch styles, including: the Laney, with a slim rounded arm; the Monroe, with a fully padded round arm; the Avenue, with an arm that is curved on the inside and straight on the outside; the Tux, with rectangular arms; the Ali, with an arm that slopes downward from the back; and the Brook, with an arm that is high in the middle and low at the front and back.

Measure the room or area where you want to keep the sectional couch, to determine the number and arrangement of sectional pieces. The Home Reserve armless sectional pieces are approximately 23 inches wide, the end pieces with arms are about 27 inches wide, and the corner pieces are about 37 inches wide.

Click "Design Your Own" to select the size and arrangement of the sectional pieces, or click "Choose a Layout" to view or order sample designs.

Decide how many armless pieces you want for the middle of the sectional couch, how many corner pieces you want for curved areas, and how many left and right pieces with arms you want for the ends. You may also elect to use end panels to finish the ends of the sectional with armless pieces instead.

Choose a fabric for the sectional couch based on the look, price and features you want. Some fabrics are machine-washable, while others are especially designed for homes with pets. Visit the Home Reserve fabric gallery (linked to in Resources) to sort the list of fabric options by color or feature. On the sectional page, the fabric in the couch photo will be updated to reflect the color and style you choose.

Type the number of sectional pieces you want under each piece to add them to the cart, and view pricing information. The price information will automatically update as you change fabric choices.

Click "Add to Cart" to review your choices, and continue to the Checkout. Your customized sectional couch will be shipped with complete building instructions. You can also download the instructions online.
