How to Clean Microfiber Upholstery

Check the manufacturer's tag to see whether your upholstery is water safe before you begin and also check for any warnings on the label. You will also want to test a small inconspicuous area first to make sure your cleaning solution does not damage the microfiber upholstery.

Vacuum the microfiber with the brush attachment to remove any dirt or dust before you begin so you do not press it into the fabric while cleaning the stain. Do not press too hard with the attachment or you can damage the fabric.

Mix three to five drops of Woolite with the cold water for water-safe microfiber. Dip the towel in the water and wring it out thoroughly as excess water can damage microfiber. Working in a small section, gently rub the stain with the damp towel then immediately dry it with the hairdryer on the coolest setting before moving on to the next section. After you are done you can restore the texture to the microfiber by brushing it softly with the soft bristle brush.

Sprinkle a pinch or two of the dry detergent onto the stain (for non-water-safe microfiber), then use the soft bristle brush to to brush the detergent into the upholstery. Vacuum the area thoroughly with the brush attachment to get the detergent out of the microfiber.

You can try to blot a stubborn stain with a baby wipe. Make sure to test it first to make sure the alcohol in the baby wipe does not damage the microfiber. Also, do not rub with the wipe, as this will just press the stain deeper into the fibers of the upholstery.
