How to Remove White Spots from Wood Furniture

People use coasters to prevent drinks from leaving white marks on furniture. However, there are often times when a coaster is not used, and the result is a white mark on your furniture. White spots on wooden furniture are easiest to remove when they are first made. After that they can be cleaned, but it takes a little more work.

      For white spots that have just been left as a result of a glass, use the blow dryer method. Turn your blow dryer on high heat and dry the white water mark.

      Mix 1/2 cup of mayonnaise with 1/4 cup of baking soda. Use a paper towel to rub this mixture in to the white stain. Within a few minutes the stain should be completely gone.

      For older white spots, put some water in your iron and turn the setting to steam. Place an old cotton T-shirt or cloth over the white stain. Then rub the hot iron over the cloth for 2 to 3 minutes until the stain is gone.

      Another method for older white spots is to use a blow dryer to heat up the wooden surface and then rub in some toothpaste until you see the stain disappear.
