How to Keep Furniture Covers Tucked Into Sides

Slipcovers give tired sofas a fresh look for just a little money, but they do have a downside: with normal use, some of them will shift, come untucked, and look droopy and sloppy. With the right strategy, you can easily tuck the slipcover securely so that it stays in place and keeps your sofa looking better longer.

Instructions

    • 1

Before placing the slipcover, lay some rug-grip material on top of the couch cushions to help keep the cover in place.

    • 2

Put the slipcover on the sofa, tucking it in well.

    • 3

Roll up two old magazines, or more if needed, using rubber bands to secure them.

    • 4

Push the rolled magazines into the spaces between the seat and each arm of the couch. They will help anchor your slipcover but be hidden from sight.
