Instructions

    • 1

Remove the items from your armoire. Pull the armoire away from the wall.

    • 2

Place newspapers underneath and around the armoire.

    • 3

Remove the hardware from the armoire. You may choose to paint over the hardware instead of removing it.

    • 4

Sand the surface of your laminated armoire. Remove sanding dust with a clean rag.

    • 5

Prime your laminated armoire. Priming will ensure that paint will stick to the lamination.

    • 6

Paint your armoire. Start with the inside of the armoire. Paint from the top of the armoire to the bottom of the armoire.

    • 7

Check your work for paint drips. Paint over the paint drips to smooth the paint and remove the drip.

    • 8

Use smooth paint strokes to add a professional look to your painted armoire. Allow drying time between coats of paint.

    • 9

Allow your armoire paint to dry thoroughly. Inspect the armoire for complete paint coverage.

    • 10

Touch-up any areas that may need more paint.

    • 11

Replace the existing hardware, being careful to not scrape the newly painted surface.

    • 12

Remove the newspapers and slide your freshly painted laminated armoire back into place.
