How to Clean Enduro Suede

The very name of Enduro Suede is extremely misleading. Enduro Suede is not a type of leather or suede fabric at all; it is a microfiber fabric that is used most commonly to make furniture such as sofas or lounge chairs. Microfiber can be very sensitive to water stains and moisture because of its absorbent surface, so cleaning can get a little tricky when you can’t use just plain soap or water. However, there are ways you can clean this type of fabric.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Vacuum your Enduro Suede furniture with the soft brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. Use smaller attachments if necessary to get into hard to reach areas. Vacuuming will remove much of the surface dust and dirt, and regular vacuuming can help prevent the need for large scale cleanings.

Mix cold water with one to two drops of mild dish detergent, such as Dove or Dawn. Soak the corner of a white cloth or towel in the cleaning solution and wring it out thoroughly; the cloth should be damp, not wet.

    • 3

Rub one section of the Enduro Suede at a time with the cloth. Each time you have to wet the cloth, be sure to wring it out so that it is damp but not wet. After you finish cleaning each section, immediately blow it dry with a hair dry to avoid water stains.

Remove stains with light applications of Lysol Cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Apply in the same way as the soapy water, using as little cleaner as possible. Blot out stains with a clean white cloth; never rub, because this can cause the stain to work deeper into the fabric.
