Place goggles on and flip the tabletop over its onto its top. Remove the legs, brackets and any additional wood or hardware from underneath.
Create a 3-foot-square box by attaching the four pieces of lumber with eight-penny nails. Attach the completed square to the bottom of the tabletop with a liquid wood adhesive.
Measure the elk antlers from the points down to the desired length of the table legs. Cut off with a table saw. Repeat the process for all antlers.
Sand the cut surface of each antler with 120-grit sandpaper.
Place the antlers on the ground in the pattern that you plan for the table. Place the table top on top as a dry run before securing the antlers to the table. Once the look desired is achieved, mark each antler point that touches the wooden square.
Drill a hole in each antler where marked with a 1/8-inch drill bit.
Turn the table on its top. Place one antler at a starting point in the square frame and secure it with a 2-inch drywall screw and #2 Phillips head bit screwdriver. Repeat with all areas drilled.
Turn the table upright and check to make sure it is level. Adjust as needed. Apply a finish if desired.
