How to Hide Scratches in Leather

Leather couches add a touch of style and sophistication to any home. They are sturdy and can last for a long time if they are taken care of properly. Unfortunately, scratches may appear as a result of unfortunate circumstances. It is common for pets such as cats to cause unsightly scratches to furniture, including leather couches. Fortunately, various methods can be used to hide those scratches. These simple methods are cost-effective, as well as effective in hiding scratches.

Shoe polish
Cloth

Pledge orange oil

  Remove dust from the leather by using a damp cloth. Allow it to dry thoroughly. Choose a shoe polish that matches the color of the leather. Apply a pea-sized amount of the shoe polish to the scratch mark. Gently rub the polish onto the scratch mark using a piece of cloth. Let the polish dry for at least 10 to 15 minutes, then buff with a clean, dry cloth.

  Olive oil is a another effective remedy for hiding scratches in leather. Put 3 to 4 drops of olive oil on a dry cloth. Use the cloth to apply the olive oil to the scratches, rubbing it firmly in a circular motion until the scratches disappear.

  Hide scratches in leather by using Pledge orange oil. Hold the spray bottle 2 to 3 inches from the leather and spray it on the scratches. Rub it on the scratches in a circular motion until the scratches disappear.
