How to Hang a TV on an Ikea TV Unit

Place the wide bracket from the Uppleva Ormo television mount into the center of the TV stand, in the recess designed for the television. Position the bracket where you want the television to sit and make sure it's level using a level. Mark the holes in the Uppleva Ormo onto the TV stand with a pencil, marking three holes spaced evenly across the width of the bracket.

Drill holes for the bracket in the TV stand. Mount the Uppleva Ormo on the TV stand using the bolts, washers and wing nuts included with the TV stand.

Spread a blanket on the ground and lay the flat-screen television face down on it with the top of the TV pointed away from you. Slide the socket cap screws included with the kit into the rubber bushings, making sure to pair the larger screw with the larger bushings, based on what fits easily in each mount. Install the socket cap screws with the bushings on them onto the top two holes on the back of the TV using the hex-head key included with the Uppleva Ormo.

Install the stud with the bushing on it onto the bottom two mounts on the television using your hands. Slide the plastic caps from the kit over the studs.

Slide the vertical brackets from the Uppleva Ormo kit onto the edge of the bracket mounted on the TV stand and space them the same distance apart as the mounts on the back of the TV. Lift the television with the help of an assistant and guide the top mounts on the back of the TV into the holes on the vertical brackets on the Uppleva Ormo. Allow the weight to set on the bracket, step back and make sure the television is firmly in place.
