How to Maintain a Durablend Sofa

DuraBlend furniture items, such as chairs, love seats and sofas, utilize high-quality upholstery made with a special blend of natural and synthetic fibers. This uphostery brings together the smoothness of leather, the softness of cotton and the durability of polyurethane. Although robust, the unique makeup of DuraBlend does cause it to have sensitivities, making DuraBlend dealer-recommended care and cleaning practices imperative for keeping up the handsome appearance of the item.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the sofa in a location where it will not be hit with direct sunlight. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun may cause fading.

    • 2

Clean the sofa from loose debris by vacuuming the outside of the sofa and beneath the cushions, using a vacuum hose affixed with an upholstery attachment. Do not use water or chemical cleaners to clean the sofa.

    • 3

Cover or move the couch when using chemical cleaners, such as window or floor cleaners, on adjacent surfaces. Covering or moving prevents splatter stains from occurring.

    • 4

Flip the cushions and pillows periodically to prevent wear and tear from occurring in isolated locations.

    • 5

Keep printed reading material, such as newspapers and magazines, from prolonged contact with the sofa, as the inks may bleed and stain the upholstery.

    • 6

Blot any stains that do occur with a small amount of soapy water made with low-pH, liquid soap using a non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Blot stains from the outside in to avoid rings from occurring.
