How to Adjust a Streeless Recliner

The Stressless glide system lets you adjust and recline your armchair to your ideal position without reaching for a lever or adjusting bolts. Each time you lead back, the chair glides into a new position based on your body weight. When you first set up your Stressless armchair it will not be configured to your weight or strength. Adjusting the glide system makes it easy to recline your chair using just your body weight.

Instructions

  Take a seat in your Stressless glide recliner. Locate the circular weight-adjustment dial on the right side of the chair, roughly where you would expect the recline lever to be.

  Gently lean back in the chair. The back moves into the reclining position. Turn the dial clockwise or counterclockwise to reduce or increase the weight needed to shift the chair. Stop when the chair moves with minimal effort.

  Place your feet on the ground and turn when you want to adjust the direction of the chair. Stressless chairs turn through 360 degrees, making it easy to adjust the direction you face.
