How to Connect Decoro Sectionals

Decoro is a maker of leather sectional furniture pieces originally made in China but marketed in the United States. The sectional sofas offered various shapes and sizes and lengths of sectional pieces that connected together by simple interlocking male and female brackets mounted to the sides of each piece. This made transportation easy as they were easily broken into manageable sections but still rigid and strong when connected.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the individual pieces of the Decoro sectional in the room where they are meant to remain. Move the pieces around to get them positioned just where you want them and in the configuration desired.

    • 2

Examine the male and female connectors on the various sectional pieces and tighten them down to the wood frame with a Philips head screwdriver if they are loose. Wipe the connectors with a clean cloth to remove any dirt or other substance that may hamper connection.

    • 3

Arrange the individual sections so that they are approximately 1/2-inch apart from each other. Align the connectors so they are positioned close to each other to allow them to connect easily.

    • 4

Look carefully over the top of the sectional cushions at the sides with the connectors. Raise the male connector section slightly so that it is just above the female connector. Push the male section closer and lay the piece back down so that the connectors fall into place together.

    • 5

Give a slight tug on the sectional piece to see if it is connected. If it does not appear snug, or if it pulls free of the other piece, attempt to connect the two again.

    • 6

Repeat the process of connecting sectional pieces until all are secured. Check that all connections are tight and move the sectional unit small distances only while connected.
