How to Take Apart a Raymour & Flannigan Sectional

A Raymour & Flannigan sectional does not have to be difficult to take apart. A few steps are involved, and it takes some patience. Sectionals can be comfortable but they also are large and bulky, which can be a problem when moving the sectional from room to room or moving to a different home.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the couch cushions and the legs from the bottom of the Raymour & Flannigan sectional couch.

    • 2

Lift the one piece of the sectional that has the downward-facing clasp hardware. This will gently lift the side of the sectional out of place from the other end of the sectional. Move this piece out of the way while taking apart the other sections of the sectional.

    • 3

Gently pick up the other end of the sectional where the other snap piece is. This is the piece that lifts away from the female snap part in the midsection of the couch. It should slide out. Move this section away from the rest of the couch.

    • 4

Move the three pieces of the sectional where they need to go piece by piece. The pieces can snap back together when you have moved them to the new area.
