How to Connect a Sectional Couch

A sectional couch, as the name suggests, is a couch split into two or more sections. Significantly larger than a traditional couch, a sectional is easier to move around because it's not as bulky and separates so it can go through doorways or up and down stairs. A sectional sofa has couplings to allow quick connects and disconnects for maximum flexibility in the arrangement of your room.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the furniture in the desired positioning for the room. Try different configurations to determine what looks best with your other furniture and decor. If you have two pieces, place them together with a small space between to connect them. If you have more than two pieces, line them up before attempting to connect the couplings.

    • 2

Push all sections together tightly and evenly. Line up the front and back sections to remove any gaps.

    • 3

Lift the section of the couch with the male coupling so it rises above the female coupling while pushing the two pieces together.

    • 4

Slide the male coupling down into the female coupling tightly. Check the tightness of the two pieces by attempting to slide them apart forward and backward. If they don't budge, they're connected.

    • 5

Repeat for each section of the couch.
