Measure the cover with the filler in place. Measure and record the width, length and depth of the outside of the cushion.
Open the cover of the cushion through the zipper or by opening a seam and remove the filler from the cover.
Cut the wrap for the filler to the measurements of the cushion plus 1 inch on the length of each side but not on the width, thereby increasing the filler size and forcing the top to loft. Cut the wrap equal to length plus depth times 2 plus 4 inches, and cut the width equal to the cushion cover width.
Wrap the batting around a box-edge cushion, leaving the side depth uncovered. Start the wrap at the center of the back boxing, wrap up to the top of the filler, along the surface of the filler to the front, down the depth at the front, across the bottom of the filler to the back boxing and up to meet the start of the wrap.
Whip-stitch the start and end edges of the batting together. The sides of the filler have not yet had wrap added.
Replace the filler in the cushion cover. If an additional wrap is required, cut the new piece length equal to the length of the first wrap plus 4 inches and cut the width the same as the first wrap. Apply the second wrap over the first.
Measure the cushion cover with the filler in place. Record the length and width. Remove the filler from the cushion.
Cut the batting equal to the width of the cover plus 1 inch and the length of the cover plus 1 inch.
Position the filler between the two pieces of new terylene wrap and whip-stitch loosely all around the edges.
Replace the filler in the cover. If necessary, remove the filler and cut and wrap another piece of batting to further increase the loft. Cut these second pieces of wrap an additional 1 inch larger than the first pieces.
