How to Reduce Wrinkles in a Leather Seat

Leather furniture is a versatile upholstery item that has a plush feel to it. Sofas and chairs made from leather provide comfortable seating and last much longer than fabric upholstery. Leather seats, whether in your car or in your home, can wrinkle and crease as a result of normal wear and tear. Reduce wrinkles by ironing them out and restoring your leather seats to their original condition.

     Switch on the iron. Set it on the coolest setting and let it run for approximately 10 minutes.

     Place a thick sheet of paper on the wrinkled area of the leather seat. The paper will serve as a pressing cloth to prevent the leather from overheating.

     Switch off the iron and move it over the wrinkled area for three minutes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. To prevent burning the leather, be sure to keep moving the iron over the wrinkled surface, instead of keeping it in one place.
