How to Attach a Sofa Leg

Sofa legs come in many forms. In some cases they are decorative enough that you want them on display. When a sofa is placed on carpeting, it often will sink into the pile and the legs won't be visible. The least expensive solution is to replace the legs with those that will offer additional height. If one or more legs become damaged, replacing the leg or legs is much more affordable than replacing the entire sofa.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the sofa so that it is resting on its back.

    • 2

Line up the leg brackets with the pilot holes drilled into the underside of the sofa and insert the included screws. Tighten the screws with the screwdriver. Do this for each leg. In some cases the legs can simply be screwed into the base of the sofa. If that is the case, do so, making sure to adequately tighten them.

Turn the sofa right side up so it's resting on the legs.
