How to Adjust the Leg on a La-Z-Boy Power Recliner

La-Z-Boy power recliners do not have legs, but instead have a metal base. A series of glides are located on the base. Each glide has a top jam nut and a bottom nut with an adjustable glide to modify its height. The proper height adjustment ensures that the leg rest does not rub against the base or any part of the chair.

     Twist loose the jam nut on top of the latch bracket.

     Turn the glide under the base rail. Twist it clockwise to lower the base. Turn it counterclockwise to raise the base.

     Tighten the bottom jam nut on top of the glide.

   • 4

     Tighten the top jam nut.

   • 5

     Adjust the other glides until the recliner is level and the path of the leg rest is unobstructed.
