How Do I Snap Off Cupboard Hinges?

Most newer cupboard door hinges are designed so that the door can snap off from the cabinet so it does not get damaged during installation. Removal makes it easier to clean inside, and they can also be removed to turn a cabinet into an open display nook.

     Open the cupboard door and locate the hinges.

     Press the release clip on each hinge. Each manufacturer has a slightly different mechanism, but most have a button that is pressed to release the door.

     Pull the door away from the hinges.
