Remove the doors from the cabinet. Use the Phillips head screwdriver. You can leave the hinges on the door.
Measure the width of the door. Divide the measurement in half. For example, if the door is 18 inches wide, divide by two and this will give you 9 inches. This is halfway between both edges of the door. From the top center, measure down half of the width of the cabinet again. In our example, that would be 9 inches down, as well. This is the center point that you will use to make the arch.
Drive the nail into the door on the back side so as not to leave a hole on the exterior. Only drive the nail in until it is solid. Tie the string to the nail. Tie the pencil to the string at the end at the same distance as half of the width of the door. Remember if the door is 18 inches wide, you'd tie the pencil to the string 9 inches from the door .
Mark the arch along the top. This is done by starting at one end of the door and moving the pencil across the back of the door keeping the string tight. This will give you a perfect arc.
Cut along the line with the jigsaw. If you are using a square cabinet, then you need to glue the two arch pieces into the corners. This will give the door a professional look.
