Instructions

    • 1

Use measuring tape to determine the width of the bottom of a bottle of wine. Record the measurement. Make the holders in the wine rack half an inch wider than the wine bottles to make them easier to remove.

    • 2

Cut semicircular portions from the four 10-inch wide pieces of lumber according to the measurements of the bottom of the wine bottle. Cut the portions from one side of each piece of 10-inch wide lumber, and cut all of the portions in line with one another to make the wine rack even.

    • 3

Use the drill to put pilot holes in the 11-inch wide panels. The 11-inch portion will be vertical. Drill two pilot holes for each 10-inch section of the wine rack so that each side of the wine rack can be attached.

    • 4

Put one of the 10-inch sections against the 11-inch section and attach the two pieces of wood with screws. The two pieces of wood should form a right angle. Use 3-inch wood screws to attach them.

Put the screws through the pilot holes on the outside portion of the 11-inch piece of wood and into the 2-inch edge of the 10-inch panel.

    • 5

Attach a second 10-inch piece of wood to the other end of the rack. Ensure that the semicircular sections are aligned with each other so that the wine will sit properly in the rack.

    • 6

Place a third 10-inch piece of wood at the top corner of the side of the rack by the pilot holes you drilled and attach them with wood. Place the screws through the 11-inch sheet and into the 2-inch section of the 10-inch sheet. Attach the fourth 10-inch piece in the same way.

    • 7

Align the other side of the rack with the four cutout sections so that the 2-inch edges of the racks are lined up with the pilot holes. Attach all four sections to the side piece with 3-inch wood screws.
