Fill any dents or imperfection in the cabinet by placing a putty knife into the can of wood putty and removing a small amount from the can. Place the wood putty into the imperfection on the cabinet. Allow the wood putty to dry for 30 minutes.
Place the bar cabinet onto the ground so it can be sanded. Place a 180-grit sandpaper disc onto an orbital sander. Place the sander onto the cabinet and turn the orbital sander on. Sand the cabinet until the original stain is removed.
Wipe the cabinet using a wiping cloth to remove the dust from sanding.
Remove the lid from the can of stain. Dip a wiping cloth into the stain. Liberally apply the stain to the cabinet.
Wipe the excess stain from the cabinet with another wiping cloth. Allow the stain to dry for 24 hours.
Apply a coat of wood sealer onto the cabinet using a paint brush. Allow the sealer to dry for 24 hours.
