Place a measuring tape inside the cabinet unit where you wish to install a pull-out drawer. Measure the total length between the two side panels along with the width between the wall and the cabinet front. Subtract 1 inch from both measurements and write them down. Lay a plywood sheet down and draw the bottom drawer panel using the adjusted width and length measurements.
Lay another plywood sheet on a flat surface and draw two identical side panels for the drawer measuring the total width by 2 inches using the pencil. In addition, draw two end panels for the front and back measuring 2 inches by the total length, minus 1 inch to make room for the side panels during construction.
Cut all five pull-out drawer components using a table saw. Sand all sides and edges to remove cracks and splinters caused by the cuts.
Place the two drawer side panels on their thin sides across from each other. Place the end panels between the two side panels in a perpendicular manner to create a full drawer rectangle frame. Hammer in nails through the side panels in each corner to connect the drawer frame. Place the bottom panel on top of the frame and line it up with the frame. Hammer in nails all around the bottom panel's perimeter so the nails are about 1 inch apart. Turn the drawer right side up.
Line up two sliding tracks on the drawer's two side panels. Use a level to place them on the sides evenly. Install the tracks by inserting the small screws in the mounting holes using a screwdriver. Mount sliding bases on the cabinet's side panels in the same manner as the sliding components. Insert the pull-out drawer into the cabinet by pushing the sliding component into the track base.
