Measure the height of the wall where you intend to install your corner hutch. Place the end of the measuring tape in the corner and measure outward along the wall to determine the depth for the side panels of your corner hutch.
Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall. Mark the position of the studs on the wall in pencil.
Cut two pieces of 1/2-inch plywood to the height of your wall and the depth for the side panels as determined in Step 1 using a circular saw. Stand the two panels upright in the corner so their back edges are just touching, forming a 90-degree angle.
Measure the distance between the inside edges of the two side panels to find the width of your corner hutch. You will use this measurement along with the depth of the side panels to cut your top and bottom panels as well as any additional shelving.
Cut two triangles out of 1/2-inch plywood using the depth of the side panels as the measurement for two sides and the width of the hutch as the measurement for the third side. Use a meter stick to draw a template onto the plywood before cutting. These triangles will be the top and bottom panels of your corner hutch.
Move the two side panels away from the wall, keeping them upright in the same position so a 90-degree angle is formed by the interior angle. Use a 90-degree triangle template to check the angle, then drive 1 1/2-inch wood screws through the outside of one side panel into the other to attach them.
Lay the frame you just constructed down on the ground so one of the side panels is flush with the floor and the other stands upright. The result should be an L shape.
Slide the top panel into place at one end of the L-shaped frame and place the bottom panel at the other end. Two edges of the top and bottom panels should be flush with the interior edges of the side panels and the top and bottom edges should be aligned.
Drive 1 1/2-inch wood screws through the side panels into the thickness of the top and bottom panels to secure them in place.
Stand the completed corner hutch frame upright and slide it into the corner. Drive 2-inch wood screws through the side panels into the wall studs to attach the hutch to the wall.
