Talk to your daughter to see what kind of style she wants. Is she a girlie girl who wants pink and lace? Maybe she is a tomboy who wants a basic vanity.
Measure where you want to vanity to go in your girl's room. Make sure there are electrical outlets nearby so she can plug in a hairdryer or an iron. Have at least 3 1/2 feet of wall space available. Measure how high you want the table to be.
Cut a piece of plywood to 3 feet by 1.5 feet. Sand the edges of the plywood. Attach the table legs with screws or nails. If the table is for a younger girl, attach the table to the wall with a bracket.
Use wood putty if necessary to cover any nail or screw holes. Wait for it to dry, then sand smooth. Stain or paint the vanity and let dry overnight.
Decorate the vanity by painting designs or putting on colorful stickers.
