Instructions

  1. Decisions, Decisions

    • 1

The first step in getting your foam coolers to transform into beautiful playroom furniture, is deciding where you want the kids to have a seating area. There are many ways you can assemble the cubes so that they look like a mini couch. You can position the chairs to flank a kid table.

    • 2

Open the lid of the containers and place small toys, game pieces or flash cards (or anything else that will fit) into the large part of the bin. Place the lid on and cover neatly with the cloth, sheet or blanket, and then tuck the stray ends under to create a smooth effect.

    • 3

Push the cubes up against the wall and show the kids how to drape the fabric so that if they want to open the cube and use its contents they will know how to put the cover (sheet or blanket) back onto the cube. Next, add a few throw pillows to set on top of the cube so it looks just like a little modern square chair.

    • 4

Put two covered cubes side by side to make a little couch that the kids can sit on to watch a movie in the playroom and have their own little special sitting area. Put four cubes together and drape a larger blanket over them to make an emergency, impromptu bed. If you add pillows, it really looks like real furniture.

Imagination comes into play when you are deciding on the juxtapositioning of your cubes. You can even transform them into an adult space and use silky fabrics for a makeshift table when company stops by. The sky is the limit with these great little coolers. It's easy to come up with even more ways to use them.
