Instructions

    • 1

Press under a quarter of an inch around all four edges of the lightweight fabric with the iron. Machine stitch around all of the edges to hem the fabric.

    • 2

Position ceiling hooks in the ceiling above the top bunk. Because you are making a half-tent, begin the hooks at approximately the center of the bed. Place the hooks every six to eight inches along the ceiling to the foot of the bed.

    • 3

Fold the fabric in half length-wise. Measure and mark a spot on the fabric for each hook that you placed on the ceiling. The marks should be evenly spaced along the fabric and equal distances apart from each other.

    • 4

Sew two buttonholes half an inch apart from each other at each mark made for a fabric hook. Make the buttonholes approximately half an inch long.

    • 5

Attach the fabric to the ceiling hooks by looping each double button hole onto a hook. The fabric should drape between the hooks and fall down the edges of both bunks to create the tent.
