How to Put Together a Child Craft Crib

Connect headboard and footboard with the stabilizing bar. Attach the sta-bar brackets to the headboard and footboard. Then attach the stabilizing bar to these brackets to connect the boards. You should now have a secure basic basic frame, which is the foundation you will add on to as you go through the other steps.

Install the stationary side on one side of the crib by attaching it to the headboard and footboard using the bolts found in the hardware bag. Insert the bolt plugs into the holes and then add the bolts. Tighten each bolt, using an Allen wrench.

Attach the spring board. Use the tabs on the edge of the spring board to attach the board onto the headboard and the footboard. Use the hexhead machine screws found in the hardware bag and tighten them using a hexhead wrench. You may be able to lower the spring board to several different levels, if your crib model has slots.

Add the drop side. Align the plastic guides first on the boards. Using rubber washers and machine screws, install the tracks. These tracks will allow the drop side to slide, and allow it to lock in place when the crib is fully assembled.

Furnish the crib with a mattress, pillows and decorations. (The mattress is sold separately from the crib.)
