Determine what type of cradle you have. All bedding must fit it properly. There are countless designs and styles to choose from, so make sure to pick one that fits your furniture style.

    • 2

Determine what theme or color of your bedding to blend with the rest of the room. You may want to choose primary colors or a complete theme to coordinate with your nursery. The color of the bedding is important as well--you do not want to choose a color that will over-stimulate your baby.

Decide the type of material for the cradle bedding. Are allergies or other environmental issues important to you? Cotton, flannel, satin, silk are all possibilities.

Once you purchase your bedding, test each item in the cradle to make sure all the separate pieces fit together properly. You do not want loose bedding that your baby may get tangled up in.
