Instructions for Assenbling a Jenny Lind Crib

The Jenny Lind Crib is named after the late opera singer because her bed had high sides with vertical rails. The cribs come in different colors and styles and are well-known for their simple assembly, drop-side rails and adjustable height. The crib comes with a majority of the parts pre-assembled and can be constructed in less than an hour.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay both the crib's headboard and foot board on the floor in front of you with pre-drilled screw holes facing up.

    • 2

Screw the top bracket railing into the left side of the headboard using two screws. Repeat for the right side.

    • 3

Attach the left bracket rail to the bottom of the headboard with four screws. Repeat for the right side.

    • 4

Screw the bottom bracket rail to the bottom drop-side on the left side of the headboard and foot board. You will use four screws. The "drop-down" mechanism comes pre-installed in the railing. The right side is stationary so you do not need to do this side.

    • 5

Screw the post brackets to the midsection of the headboard and foot board; there are two brackets and you will use three screws for each side.

    • 6

Stand the crib upright, as the left side with the drop-down rail can now support it. Screw the stationary side rail to the headboard and foot board using a Phillips screwdriver. You will use two machine bolts for the left and right side.

    • 7

Screw the steel spring mattress support hangers to each of the four interior corners using two screws on each side. Decide the height level for the mattress support frame. The highest setting is for a newborn baby but the height may be adjusted as the child grows.

    • 8

Bolt the spring frame into the desired height level. Lay the steel spring mattress support inside the crib with the flat side facing up; bolt each corner into place. You will use two screws for each corner.

    • 9

Check that all screws are secure and the crib does not wobble.
