Instructions for a Sleigh Baby Bed

There are various sleigh baby beds available, including those from the Land of Nod, and they are all fairly simple to put together. You can get a sleigh bed as a crib and convert it into a toddler crib as your child grows. You can decide on a co-sleeper sleigh crib to keep an eye on your child. The toddler bed has rails on both sides, and you can start with one shorter rail and one crib rail when first introducing baby to sleeping in a bed.

Instructions

    • 1

Fasten one side of the sleigh bed to the rear posts of the head board with four decorative bolts.

    • 2

Attach the mattress support spring to the crib. Turn the flat side of the support spring facing up.

    • 3

Extend the mounting flange on each corner first, and fasten the support spring to the headboard. Choose a height for the spring and attach it using four hex bolts with the hex wrench that comes with the crib.

    • 4

Start at the highest position with the support spring for your baby, and gradually lower it as the child grows and can stand on his own.

    • 5

Use the other four decorative bolts to fasten the other side of the crib to the headboard posts and tighten all eight bolts for both sides using the hex wrench.

    • 6

Buy a toddler rail that goes with The Land of Nod bed. The mattress will be at the lowest position. Remove one side of the crib by unscrewing the four bolts and fasten the toddler rail on that same side with two of the decorative bolts and the bolt that came with the toddler rail.
