How to Assemble a Tucson Convertible Crib From Bassett Baby

Bassett Furniture Industries has been manufacturing high-quality and long-lasting furniture for more than a century, and has produced baby beds for more than 45 years. The Tucson collection is inspired by classic Southwestern style and offers a variety of finishes to choose from. Instructions

  1. Crib Assembly

    • 1

Attach the left and right head posts to the head bottom frame using 1 1/2-inch bolts at the top corners and 3-inch bolts at the bottom. Attach the headboard top panel to the frame using cam lock bolts at the top panel ends. Screw the bolts in clockwise with a flathead screwdriver and secure with cam lock nuts. Secure the top panel to the middle of the frame using wood screws.

    • 2

Attach the side frames to the top and bottom of the fully assembled headboard using the Allen wrench and 1 1/2-inch bolts. Lay the stretcher bar between the side frames along the bottom of the crib. Insert the barrel nuts in stretcher bar holes and use the Allen wrench to screw the 2-inch bolts from the outer side rail into the barrel nut's threaded hole.

    • 3

Secure the footboard to the side rails using the Allen wrench to screw 1 1/2-inch bolts in at the top and bottom. Lastly, secure the mattress support to the inside of the crib using filler bolts at all four corners. Ensure the mattress is level at all four corners, using the highest level for infants. Fill all remaining holes with filler bolts and fully tighten all screws on the crib.

Unscrew and remove the footboard and move the mattress support into the lowest position to convert to a toddler bed. Attach the left and right day bed posts to the side rails using 1 1/2-inch bolts at the top and bottom. Use 1 3/4-inch bolts to secure the toddler guard rails to either side of the day bed posts, and attach rails to the underside of the bed using 2 1/2-inch bolts. Secure the day bed rail to posts using 2-inch bolts.

    • 5

Assemble the day bed by simply removing the footboard from the fully assembled crib. Move the mattress support to the lowest position and secure the day bed posts to the side rails using 1 1/2-inch bolts at the top and bottom of the side rails. Use 2-inch bolts to secure the day bed rail to day bed posts.

Remove all bolts from the headboard and footboard for a full-size bed. Insert filler bolts in any remaining holes. Attach bed rails using two machine bolts with lock washer and flat washer through the holes in the side rails into the bushings on the headboard, tightening with an Allen wrench. Repeat on all four bed corners.
