Locate the dowels. The dowels are cylindrical connection pieces that come with your Modensa cot kit. Insert the dowels into the top holes of the crib's front and back rails. The dowels should fit snugly in the holes, but you may need to use a hammer to tap them in all the way.
Mount the handle on the front rail. Align the handle ends with the holes on either sides of the front rail. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to screw the two handle screws through the rail to connect it to the handle.
Place the strap on the bottom of the back rail and align the two holes. Insert a strap screw into the washer and insert it through the strap and the back rail to fasten the two together. Use a screwdriver to drive the washer and screw through the holes.
Attach the front and back rails to a side rail. Align the holes with the holes on the end of the side rail. Insert dowels into the large holes on the side rail and use an Allen key to screw two confirmat screws through the lower holes located on the side rail.
Insert the base into the grooves of the front and back rails. Slide it all the way down until it fits into the groove of the side rails.
Attach the final side rail to the front and back rails. Screw the two confirmat screws with an Allen key into the front and back rails to connect them to the remaining side.
Turn the cot top over. Measure the distance from the end of the side panel to the first pilot hole. Mount the long blocks into the pilot holes. Fasten them into the holes with confirmat screws using the Allen key. Attach the eight short blocks to the other end of the cot top changer. Screw in the four confirmat screws with the Allen key.
Place the cot top on the rails of the crib. Fasten the Velcro straps to the top rail of the crib.
