This enables you to lower and raise the rail as needed in order to retrieve your baby from the crib. If you have never used a drop side crib before, you might not be familiar with how to lower and raise the rail. It is easy and only requires a few, simple steps.

     Grab the center of the top rail.

     Gently lift the rail. You do not need to lift it a lot, just enough to reach the bottom of it with your foot.

     Push the bottom rail with your foot while you are holding onto the top rail. This will unlock the rail. You will feel the rail loosen.

     Push down and lower the rail.
