About a Twin-Size Princess Bed

She already rules your heart, so you may as well give her the keys to the kingdom -- or, at the very least, a bed that will give your princess a place to dream about conquering more hearts. You're in for a surprise if you have yet to start your search for a royal bed. Just about everyone in the kid-focused furniture business has come up with unique designs that are nearly as special as the princess who will occupy the one you choose.
  1. Strawberries and Cream Princess Twin Bed

    • Imagine a headboard and footboard shaped like giant pink crowns trimmed with stylized white-gem circles and you'll have a fairly accurate image of this enchanting little bed. Constructed of composite wood and finished with nontoxic paints, this 78-inch long by 33-inch high bed takes next to no time to put together. (It arrives in pieces but requires no tools for assembly, Mom). Relatively inexpensive (around $240 as the time of publication) compared to other styles of princess beds, this model accommodates a standard mattress and even has a little detachable shelf for her majesty's nightly glass of milk.

    Castle Twin Princess Bed

    • When is a bed not a bed? When it's a castle with towers that include "views outside the castle" via windows in the headboard. At around $340 at time of publication, this twin princess bed comes with lots of extras, including wide side rails. There's a built-in slumber-time nightlight attached to the bed, so drop in three AAA batteries and it's ready to illuminate the dark. Mattress supports come with this bed, so all you need are a single mattress and bedding to put the princess to sleep in style.

    Princess Rebecca Canopy Twin Bed

    • Metal beds have been making the home décor fashion scene of late. The Princess Rebecca Canopy Twin Bed is both gorgeous and extremely sturdy; it's designed to hold 300 pounds, so if your favorite aunt -- the one with the pastry addiction -- wants to read bedtime stories, even she can sit on the bed. The powder-coated metal is a dream to clean: wipe it down with a cloth. At around $410 at time of publication, this princess bed costs a little more, but its design and construction are so solid; it will be around for all of the princesses in your family.

    Disney Princess Twin Carriage Bed

    • Admit it: Now that you've caught wind of the fact that Disney makes an actual pumpkin-carriage bed for pint-sized royalty, it's hard to consider another style. Scrolled white and gold finished metal creates the pumpkin silhouette, and there's both a tent and a canopy included with the unit that's picture-perfect, down to the bow detailing atop the 80-inch-high summit. You will have to buy both a twin-size mattress and box spring, and the price tag tops out at around $500 at time of publication, but c'mon... You know you want your princess snoozing in this elegant carriage.
