How to Tighten a Computer Chair

Computer chairs come in all sizes, colors, and types. The nice thing about them is that they are comfortable and adjustable.However, it may take a bit of effort on your part to get the exact fit that works for you. Although there are different sizes and types, there is a basic makeup to most computer chairs. Most will be made up of these parts if it needs tightening, or adjusting.

      Use lever on the side of the chair to adjust the back of the seat forward or backward, in the same manner that a car seat works. Some models do not have this lever. Pulling the gas pressure lever outward away from the chair will release the recline tension for free movement. The chair allows a certain amount of leeway for you to recline. Others will have a wheel underneath, turn it to create the adjustment. It will stop at a certain point in any case.

      Use the gas pressure lever on the right side to adjust the chair up and down. If you are sitting on the chair, press it to lower the height to the desired level. Press it again when not sitting in the chair to make it rise.

      Use a screwdriver or wrench if you need to tighten the actual pieces of the chair. The set screws are located underneath the seat of the chair.
