  Create the first table base section. Organize two 4-foot and two 2-and-a-half-foot sections of pipe into a rectangle. Place a 3-way corner connector (middle connector side up) on the end of one of the 2-and-a-half-foot sections. Fit the adjacent end of the 4-foot sections into the other horizontal opening. Place a 4-way corner connector on the ends of the other 2-and-a-half-foot section, so that one opening faces upward and the other two openings face perpendicular to the 2-and-a-half-foot pipe. Insert the adjacent ends of the 4-foot section into the nearest perpendicular slot.

  Form the middle table base section by inserting a 2-and-a-half-foot section of pipe into each of the remaining perpendicular slots on the 4-way corner connectors. Place a 3-way corner connector (one opening facing upward) on the end of the farthest 2-and-a-half-foot section. Insert another 2-and-a-half-foot section of pipe in the remaining opening. Connect this newly inserted section and the other 2-and-a-half-foot section of pipe with a 4-way corner connector, so that one opening faces upward and the other faces toward you.

  Place two 4-foot sections of pipe in the connector openings that face toward you. Place a 3-way corner connector on the ends of both pipes, so that one opening faces upward and the remaining opening faces the opposite pipe. Connect the two connectors with a two-and-a-half-foot section of pipe. This completes the third table base section.

  Insert a 2-and-a-half foot segment of pipe into every upward facing connector opening. Place a 4-way corner connector over the corner pipe that is farthest from you in the first table base section. The openings should parallel the existing base frame, with the exception of one opening that should face upward. Place a 5-way connector over the pipe that occurs next along the long side of the desk. The openings should parallel the existing base frame, with the exception of one opening that faces upward. Top every other vertical pipe with the exact connector that occurs on the bottom of the pipe, only face the connector in the opposite direction (openings that face upward on the bottom should face downward on the top).

  Create a second layer identical to the table base by repeating steps 1 to 3 between the connectors on top of the vertical poles.

  Place the appropriate pieces of PVC sheeting over the separate sections of the desk. Cut a small curved section from the farthest corners of the sheeting, so that you can use the upward facing connectors on the first table segment.

  Place a 1-foot pipe in the two remaining upward facing openings. Place a 3-way corner connector on top of each pipe, so that one opening faces toward you and the other available opening faces the opposite pipe.

  Connect the two pipes with a 4-foot segment of pipe.

  Insert a 1-foot pipe segment in the openings that face toward you. Place an elbow connector on the end of each, so that it curves toward the other. Connect the two pipes with a 4-foot segment of pipe.

  Connect two 9-inch segments with a T connector. Repeat until you create four 1-and-a-half-foot segments. Connect these four segments with elbow connectors so that the middle opening of the T connectors point toward each other. Place a 9-inch segment of pipe in each middle opening and connect the four of them with a 5-way connector. Insert a 2- foot segment of pipe into the middle opening of the 5-way connector. Sand down the top two inches of the pipe so that it is slightly reduced in diameter. Do not glue this piece in place until you complete the entire assembly.

  Connect two 1-foot segments with a T connector and place a 9-inch segment in the middle connector opening. Repeat to create a second identical segment. Connect two 9-inch segments with a T connector and place a 1-foot segment in the middle connector opening. Repeat. Connect the middle segments with a 5-way connector that faces downward. Connect the corners with a 3-way corner connector with the middle openings face upward. This is the chair seat.

  Place an elbow connector on the two upward pipes closest to you, angled so that the elbows bend toward the farthest pipes. Place a T connector on the farthest pipes so that the middle opening faces the opposite elbow connector. Connect the two openings with a 1-and-a-half-foot section of pipe.

  Insert a 1-foot section of pipe in the upward opening of the T connectors. Top both pipes with an elbow connector, angled toward the opposite pipe. Connect with a 2-foot pipe segment. Do not glue this part together, even when the assembly is complete.

  Lay a 1-foot-by-2-and-a-half-foot piece of fabric in front of you so that the long side is closest to you. Overlap three inches of fabric on both sides, and sew the end of the overlap to the adjacent fabric. Slide the 1-foot pipe sections from the last step into the loops in the fabric and re-attach them to the chair. This is the back of the chair. Attach the chair assembly to the upright pipe.
