How To Build Corner Computer Furniture

Corner computer furniture works well in small spaces. This type of furniture will take awkward corner space, and turn it into a work area. A simple but useful design of computer furniture, would be a corner computer desk. Furniture like this will offer a spot for a monitor, keyboard and for a tower to sit underneath. A simple design will not be as decorative as furniture purchased in a store. However, it will be inexpensive to build, and durable enough to last the life of your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut the ends of the 23-inch boards with your miter saw at a 45-degree angle. When the boards lay flat, the ends should slant down toward ground away from each other. Their length should still equal 23 inches. Repeat this process with the 32 ½-inch board.

    • 2

Position the 23-inch boards so they are on edge, perpendicular to each other, with their 45-degree ends flush against each other. Use two screws to screw these boards together.

    • 3

Place the 32 ½-inch board next to the 23-inch boards so it is on edge, and so its ends are flush with the ends of the 23-inch boards. Screw the 32 ½-inch board to the 23-inch boards. You should have a triangular frame with one 90-degree angle, and two 45-degree angles.

    • 4

Position a 32-inch board perpendicularly in each corner of the frame. The ends of these boards should be flush with one side of the frame. Screw through the frame, using four screws for each corner, and into the 32-inch boards. These are the legs to your computer furniture.

    • 5

Cut your plywood from corner to corner with your circular saw, so you have two equal-sized, triangular pieces of plywood.

    • 6

Position the frame upright so it is standing on its legs. Set one triangular piece of plywood on top of the frame so all of the edges are flush. Screw the plywood to the frame, using six screws for this task.
