Instructions

  1. Instructions for Aeron Chair

    • 1

While taking your weight off the chair, lift up the paddle-shaped lever on the right side to adjust the height. To lower it, remain sitting and lift the lever. Adjust chair height with your feet flat on the floor, to avoid putting pressure on the backs of your thighs.

    • 2

Turn the knob on the right side forward to increase tilt tension. Turn the knob backward to decrease tension. Increase tilt tension for extra back support when you recline.

    • 3

To adjust arm height, turn the wheel at the base of the arm support counterclockwise until the arm loosens. Adjust the arm support up or down, and turn the wheel clockwise to lock. Angle the front end of the arm pad to the left or right until you reach the desired comfort.

    • 4

Lift the support pad out of its track in the back of the chair, flip it over and place it back in the track. One side of the pad is thicker than the other, so you can flip it to adjust the lumbar support depth. Raise or lower the support pad within the track until it fits comfortably against the curve of your spine.

Locate the tilt limiter control on the rear left side. Move it up to the locked position to adjust the tilt limit.

    • 6

Angle the joystick control located under the seat to raise and lower seat height. To adjust the seat depth, lift your weight off the front of the seat, while gently pulling the handles on the right and the left sides of the seat cushion to unlock it. Then, slide forward or backward to find the desired seat depth. Release the handles to lock the seat.

    • 7

Press the button on the underside of the arm pad to raise or lower the arm. Your forearms should rest on the arm pad without any lifting of your shoulder. Pull in or push out the arm pad to adjust the arm width. Your elbows should be in line with your shoulders.

    • 8

Rotate the Backfit control clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust lumbar support to fit the curve of your back for the most comfort.

    • 9

Take your weight off the chair back. Unlock the tilt limiter by pulling the handle fully downward, and recline slowly. Adjust the handle up to limit the tilt. If you are having difficulty reclining, loosen the tension by turning the tilt tension control counterclockwise. If you are reclining too far, tighten it by turning the control clockwise.
