How to Remove Ink Off a Surface

Your furniture or another object might have a large ink stain -- perhaps due to carelessness or by kids -- that cannot be covered or hidden. This stain can be removed, thus making the object look new. Ink stains can be caused by different types of ink holders, such as fountain pens, ballpoint pens and markers. Each type of ink requires different treatment.

Spray hairspray on the ballpoint ink stain. Rub with a cloth dipped in some soapy water. The ink stain will usually disappear.

Spray bug spray on ink stains on walls. Wipe it off using a hand cloth.

    • 3

Apply nail polish remover on permanent ink stains. Wipe it off using a dry hand cloth.

    • 4

Run a pencil eraser over the ink stain on the LCD monitor of a TV or computer. This also removes permanent ink stains on other LCD surfaces.
