Adjust the seat height. Depending on the style of swivel chair you've chosen, the chair height is adjusted by a paddle handle. For instance, on the Olla chair, the paddle is on the right-hand side under the seat of the chair. Lift up on the handle and raise or lower the overall height of the chair to the desired location. Release the handle to lock the height in place.
Set the desired tilt. On the left-hand side of the chair under the seat is another handle. Rotate the handle forward to work the tilt mechanism. Once the chair is at the desired amount of tilt, rotate the handle in the other direction to engage the lock.
Adjust the seat depth. Some Gunlocke swivel chairs allow you to set the seat depth. This is particularly handy if you are unusually short or tall. On the left side of the chair near the tilt handle is the seat adjustment lever. Pull up on the lever to unlock this function. Slide the seat forward if you're tall and back if you are shorter. Release the lever to lock in the desired placement.
Set the arm location. Some models have adjustable arms. To determine if yours does, look for a lever on each chair arm, just under the arm pad. Push down on the lever and slide the arm pad to the most comfortable position for you. The arms move in and out as well as back and forth.
