Instructions

    • 1

Measure the glass to the dimensions of the desk it is to fit into. Mark the four corners of the piece you want to cut with permanent marker. Some people will find it helpful to draw a light guide line along the glass, but this is optional.

    • 2

Slide the glass so that the corner or guideline is along the edge of your work surface with the excess glass hanging off. Place the T-square on the line so that the top of the "T" is on the corner of the edge you are not cutting.

    • 3

Hold the T-square firmly down with whichever hand you do not write with. With the hand you do write with, grip the glass cutting tool firmly like a pencil. Put the glass cutting tool onto the glass at the top and outside edge of the T-Square. Press down firmly and pull the glass cutting tool along guideline/edge of the T-Square. You should pull top to bottom.

    • 4

Lay the glass cutting tool to the side. Press down firmly on the glass hanging over the edge of the work surface while still pressing down on the T-square. The glass will break cleanly away at the line.

    • 5

Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the three remaining lines for the glass piece.
