Instructions

    • 1

Remove the cushion from the sofa. Unzip the zipper on the back of the cushion and pull out the existing foam padding. Lay the cushion cover on a flat surface.

    • 2

Lay a tape measure across the cushion from one side to the other to determine the width of the cushion. If the cushion has piping, measure from piping to piping. Add 1/2 inch to the width of the cushion cover.

    • 3

Measure the length of the cushion by laying the tape measure across the cushion from front to back. Add 1/2 inch to the length of the cushion.

    • 4

Measure the depth of the cushion by laying a tape measure from inside seam to inside seam. Add 1 inch to the depth of the cushion.

    • 5

Purchase a new foam cushion insert that is equal to the width, length and depth of the sofa cushion cover. Purchase the foam from an upholstery or furniture store.

    • 6

Place the new foam on a flat surface. Place the sofa cushion cover over the new piece of foam. Zip the cushion cover closed and put the cushion back on the sofa.
