Dip a portion of a soft cleaning cloth into leather conditioner.
Rub the leather conditioner into the scratches on your leather couch, using a circular motion. This will restore the bond to the leather surface and may be all you need.
Wipe any excess leather conditioner off with a clean cloth.
Place a thick, damp rag over the scratches. It is best to try this technique on a hidden area of your couch first before trying it on the scratched area.
Heat an iron, hold it onto the wet cloth for a few seconds, and remove the iron and cloth. This will help the leather release the natural oils and make the scratches less noticeable.
Repeat the method if it does not look better after the first attempt.
Dip a cotton swab into shoe polish. Try this in a hidden area of the leather before applying it to the scratches.
Dot the shoe polish along the scratches. Rub the area immediately with a cloth. This will blend the color into the leather and help disguise it.
Remove any excess shoe polish with a dry cloth.
