How do I Repair Gouged Leather?

Clean the gouged area of any debris or dirt with a moist towel. Dry thoroughly.

Lightly scuff the area around the gouge with a fine-grit sandpaper. Try to dig out the gouge a bit without damaging too much of the surrounding area.

Spread leather filler onto the sanded area. Fill the gouge, then smooth it flat with a plastic applicator or a Popsicle stick. Allow the filler to dry. Drying time will vary depending on what type of filler you use, so refer to the directions.
