How to Clean a Loveseat

Like any other piece of furniture, a loveseat requires an occasional cleaning to keep up its appearance. The many sorts and styles of upholstery, such as fabric and leather, can make cleaning a loveseat challenging. By using the proper upholstery cleaner, the process of maintaining a loveseat can be made less stressful and add years of use.

      Vacuum the interior of the loveseat. Take off the cushions and pillows and place them on a table. Search the folds of the loveseat for any large, foreign objects like coins. Vacuum the entire couch from the folds to the attached upholstery. This will remove any loose fabric and dirt. Vacuum the loveseat's back.

      Apply upholstery cleaner to heavily soiled areas. Apply liberally and rub the cleaner into heavy stains. Apply a conservative amount to the rest of the couch, and let it dry. The loveseat may take a few hours to dry.

      Clean the cushions and pillows. Use upholstery cleaner, and spot-clean any set stains. Clean the entire pillow or cushion, and let it dry. After the loveseat, cushions and pillows are dry, place them back on the loveseat.
