Microfiber Sofa Repair

Microfiber couches are stylish pieces of furniture that can complement a variety of different living areas. However, microfiber is fairly easy to tear, and you may find yourself needing to repair the couch from time to time. Luckily, this problem is fixable with a needle and thread. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to buy an expensive repair kit to fix your microfiber couch.

Instructions

    • 1

Dab the Fray Check solution around the edge of the tear in the microfiber sofa. Allow it time to dry before continuing.

    • 2

Use an arm length of thread that matches the color of the sofa. Tie a small knot so the thread is attached to the needle.

    • 3

Thread the needle slightly below the tear on the sofa, and then pull the needle through again to create a stitch right where the tear begins.

    • 4

Weave the thread in and out of the hole by coming in one side and then crossing back over again. Follow this stitching pattern until the hole has been completely stitched up.

    • 5

Use your needle to create a small knot at the top of the tear, and use the scissors to cut off excess thread.
