How to Arrange Sofa Covers

Sofa covers are a way to protect your sofa from stains, pet hair and spills while still having a fashionable home. Sofa covers can also transform the look and style of a room by changing up the color scheme. Fitted sofa covers are a better investment than loose covers, since they fit the sofa better and don't fall off as easily. Getting a fitted cover to the exact dimensions of your sofa might not be possible, but it's better to get one slightly larger than slightly smaller.

     Remove all of the loose pillows from your sofa. Leave the bottom cushions and top cushions on the sofa.

     Place the sofa cover over the top of the sofa and line up the top of the cover with the top of the cushions. Line up the cover arms with your sofa arms.

     Pull the cover over the front and back of the sofa. Pull the cover over the arms of your sofa until it is even all the way around.

     Tuck the sofa cover into the back and sides of the sofa and smooth out any wrinkles in the fabric with your hands.

     Place the loose pillows back onto your sofa.
